OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is vital for expanding the presence of the Nikon brand and ensuring that Nikon’s marketing communication strategies align with the overall business objectives. The role requires an in-depth proficiency in social media industry culture, content, and marketing communication strategies. Some fundamental operations include planning and developing social media campaigns, creating compelling content for diverse social media platforms, driving engagement tactics and expanding fans, and enhancing the quality of ongoing campaigns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Manage and collaborate with social media agency to develop and evolve a comprehensive social media strategies that increases and engages customers and fans of all generations for all Nikon products
  • Educate internal teams regarding social media trends, content, and data from Nikon USA channels
  • Manage daily content creation, curation, and scheduling for social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Build increased engagement amongst Nikon fans of all generations to drive positive sentiment regarding Nikon gear and programs
  • Solidify and develop the Nikon national brand voice across multiple platforms for both online and offline events
  • Develop and manage a monthly content calendar that reflects Nikon marketing programs, priority messaging, and positioning
  • Collaborate with paid media strategy to enhance the Nikon USA channel with quality follower growth and brand enhancement
  • Work alongside Influencer Relations to build content for owned content opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams through reports, strategies, and presentations 
  • Work with social media agency to report on social media data monthly aligned with branded marketing communication objectives
  • Define, translate and manage social media KPI’s based on industry benchmarks and report to key stakeholders
  • Analyze and monitor global industry specific social media trends for Nikon fans of all generations


Ancillary responsibilities:

  • Provide support and data to sales and marketing teams monthly.
  • Provide trade show support.
  • Travel for this position is required, domestic and possible international, up to 50%.
  • All other duties as required or needed.



QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • MS Teams and office suite programs, Tableau,
  • Meta, Sprinklr, and other social media specific backend tools
  • Mastery of TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X management for national or global consumer brands
  • Experience as a content creator (personally or professionally) with the ability to record content with professional cameras
  • Ability to edit grammar with detail to quality and professionalism
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the consumer/ camera industry preferred
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing paid social media campaigns
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics,  
  • Experience developing reporting / analysis of social performance, channel performance and audience sentiment; understands how to translate performance into actionable insights
  • Thrives in a collaborative, creative culture and is an active contributor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Must have the ability to travel domestic, and possibly international
  • Must be willing to work beyond the normal scope of business hours when required


EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • BA Marketing or Communications or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 5+ years leading social media for a national or relevant brand
  • Minimum 7+ years social media communications management experience (retail and/or wholesale industry preferred)

Compensation depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to; knowledge, skills, experience, education and location. The range for this position is $112,000-$157,000.
