NIKON RELEASES VER.1.2.0 OF THE NX FIELD REMOTE SHOOTING SYSTEM FOR PROFESSIONAL AGENCIES

Melville, NY —

Nikon Inc. is pleased to announce that Ver. 1.2.0 of NX Field, the latest version of its remote shooting system for professional agencies, has been released today. This update adds support for the Nikon Z 9 FX format/full-frame mirrorless camera.

Support for the Z 9 added with Ver. 1.2.0 enables detection of the world’s largest range of nine subject types1; people, dogs, cats, birds, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trains, and airplanes, for more reliable acquisition of the intended subject, even with remote operation. In addition, support for the Z 9’s High-Speed Frame Capture+2 feature that realizes the world’s fastest1 frame rate of 120 fps enables the remote capture of decisive moments that cannot even be seen with the naked eye yet are so important for sports and news photographers.

Furthermore, the Dual-Stream technology built into the Z 9 enables live view display on a smartphone or tablet with very little delay and no freezing during continuous shooting for reliable capture of compelling moments with a variety of subjects, even with remote operation. Featuring a body design eliminating the need for a mechanical shutter, the Z 9 enables extremely quiet operation, and is therefore useful in situations that demand silent shooting.

Nikon will continue to provide updates for NX Field to support professional photographers who are active on the frontlines of reporting and capturing decisive moments.
