You Can Successfully Shoot in Bright Sunlight
A tip from Nikon Ambassador Cliff Mautner
Shooting in bright sunlight, in the middle of the summer, in harsh light. Put the subject between you and the sun and expose for the face. You’ll get beautiful light on the subject and nice separation on their head and shoulders. This will create drama that wouldn’t be there if you used the sun to directly light your subjects.
