How to Set White Balance for Video
White Balance (WB) adjusts the color temperature in an image or scene. Nikon HDSLRs offer a range of white balance options that you can choose from: bright sun, shade, cloudy, incandescent, fluorescent, and K. There’s also PRE which stands for Preset Manual, which allows you to set a preset based specifically on the lighting you’re currently shooting in.
When shooting video, turn on Live View and scroll through the various white balance options while looking at the LCD. You’ll be able to see exactly how the scene looks with each white balance setting, making it easy to set an accurate or creative white balance for the scene you’re shooting.
Remember to check your HDSLR camera’s User’s Manual for instructions on its particular menu navigation and dial layout.
