Nikon School Online will initially host three classes designed to teach new skills, expand creativity and allow students to challenge themselves to take better photos and videos, with more offerings to come in the future. Two new classes will feature prominent professional photographers including Nikon Ambassadors Joe McNally and Tamara Lackey, lending their expertise to help users take their photography to the next level through clear and easy-to-follow lessons. Hands-On with the SB-5000 Speedlight, Featuring Joe McNally
Discover new and exciting lighting possibilities with Nikon Ambassador and creative lighting master, Joe McNally using the SB-5000 Speedlight. This online video class will detail the key features of Nikon’s newest Speedlight and provide quick in-studio lessons detailing techniques such as on-camera flash, bounce flash, off-camera flash and radio control flash. Joe will then showcase how he uses the SB-5000 in the field plus offer tips and insightful techniques for creating dazzling images in even the most challenging lighting scenarios.

Tamara will offer practical advice for bringing out genuine expressions from a subject, including posing and lighting that looks and feels natural.
Getting Started with Your Nikon DSLR
Stepping up to DSLR photography? This 15-minute online video class will help new DSLR users skip the learning curve and start taking incredible photos and video right out of the box. Viewers will learn basic camera functionality and the advantages of NIKKOR lenses and accessories, as well as new techniques that will immediately help take one’s photo and video prowess to the next level. For those who wish to share their images, the class will also provide a basic tutorial for using Nikon SnapBridge.
