Overall Responsibility

Overall responsibility of the eCommerce Manager is to play a strategic role in refining and implementing a comprehensive eCommerce strategy, ensuring integration with related backend systems and managing the online marketing efforts for the store. This includes, but is not limited to, directing the continuity of the planning, design, development and implementation stages of a new online store.

Essential Functions and Areas of Responsibility

  • Define, refine, implement and maintain the eCommerce strategy, standards, best-practices and functionality to create a consistent and exceptional customer experience.
  • Clarify and communicate program objectives, milestones and success criteria.
  • Provide purpose, coordination, direction and motivation to cross functional team.
  • Ensure key project and program-wide roles & responsibilities are defined.
  • Manage third-party partners and/or vendor relationships as necessary.
  • Define short-term and long-term resources needed to support initiative.
  • Project tracking, reporting and monitoring of KPIs.
  • Working with other functional areas, coordinate and manage product allocations & inventory required for site.
  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of emerging trends in Internet. Marketing/eCommerce, assessing opportunities to incorporate new features and functionality.
  • Prepare and facilitate presentations at meetings
  • Attend Trade Shows as well as Sales Meetings

Qualifications

  • MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Extensive experience in eCommerce site development and management (must demonstrate previous successful experience in launching large scale eCommerce project)
  • In depth knowledge of industry tools like eCommerce platforms, web analytics solutions, content management solutions, email marketing, social media, etc.
  • Must be highly organized with a comprehensive understanding of project management tools and the ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (including overnight)

Education, Skills & Experience

  • 8 + years relevant internet and e-Commerce management experience
  • B.A., B.S. and/or MBA required (Business or Marketing Concentration preferred)
